JAMMU, Sept 11: The Department of Youth Services & Sports District Jammu organised Inter-District Divisional Level competitions in the sports disciplines of Cricket Under-19 boys and Hupkwando Under-17 and Under-19 years boys and girls at Mini Stadium Parade and University of Jammu grounds, here.
The competitions are being organised under the patronage of Dr Saleem-ur-Rehman, Director General Youth Services & Sports J&K and under the Chairmanship of Madan Lal, Joint Director Youth Services & Sports Jammu, while Sukhdev Sharma, District Youth Services & Sports Officer Jammu is the Organising Secretary of the event.
In all, 170 players drawn from 6 Districts of Jammu Division took part in the competitions.
In Cricket Under-19 Boys, District Samba beat District Udhampur by 8 wickets. Raghav top scored with 24 runs, while in another match, Reasi outplayed Kathua in a close contest.
The matches were officiated by a technical panel of experts of the Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Jammu.
