JAMMU, Aug 19: Inter-Collegiate Cross Country (Women) Championship 2015-16 was organized today by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, here.
Prof.Keshav Sharma, Registrar, University of Jammu, Jammu flagged off the race.
Nine Athletes from five Colleges took part in the Championship.
Shehnaz Parveen of GGM Science College clinched Gold Medal by completing the race in 37.54 minutes whereas Stanzin Idwong of GCW Parade and Kashu Devi of GDC Kathua claimed 2nd and 3rd positions by completing the race in 38.06 and 40.03 minutes respectively.
Prominent among other present on the occasion were Prof. Dhian S. Bhau Director, Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu, Sumnesh Sharma , Dr Vinod Bakshi, Dr. Mandeep Singh, Neelam Chalotra, Suman Sharma, Pardeep Sharma, Nirmal Singh, Harsimran Singh,Romesh Sharma, Raj Kumar Bakshi, Gagan Kumar, Vikas Karlopia, Sdr P.D.Singh and Jai Bharat.
