JAMMU, Nov 2: Government College of Education, Jammu hosted a two day Inter Collegiate Championship for both men and women at Jammu which was organized by Cluster University of Jammu.
The programme started with national anthem wherein participants from all the constituent colleges of Cluster University of Jammu participated. Dr. Jatinder Khajuria, Registrar, CLUJ was the chief guest in the event while Dr. Ranvijay Singh was the guest of honour, Dr. Vinod Bakshi, Director, Physical Education and Sports, CLUJ was special guest and Ramandeep Kralia, Physical Director, Dr. Deep Kumar Bangotra, Assistant Professor along with Dr. Rakesh Bharti, Assistant Professor (Education) of GCOE coordinated the overall event under the supervision of Director, Physical Education and Sports, CLUJ. Prof. Satish Sharma, Associate Professor motivated the participants to play the game in the right spirit.
In the men’s Chess competition, Govt. SPMR College of Commerce beat Govt. MAM College by 3-1 and in 2nd match; GGM Science College beat GCOE Jammu by 3-1 points. In the women Chess competition, Govt. SPMR College of Commerce beat GGM Science College by 3-2.
Those who were present at the event were Dr. Roopali Slathia, Physical Director, PSPSGCW, Gandhinagar, Neenu, Physical Director, Govt. MAM College Jammu, Dr. Davinder Kour, Prof. Anuradha Choudhary, Prof. Seema Kumari, Prof. Vinay Lata, S P Sharma and Susheel Kumar Sahni were the match officials.
