JAMMU, Sept 17: Inter-Collegiate Badminton Tournament got underway at Badminton Hall, University of Jammu, here.
Dr Daud Iqbal Baba, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu formally inaugurated the tournament and interacted with the shuttlers on the occasion.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Amit Pandoh (GCET), Balbeer Singh GDC, Samba, Sudesh Bhagat, GCW Udhampur, Jatinder Singh, Trikuta College, Firdos Ahmed, GDC Kalakote, Renu Sharma GDC, Nowshera, Neha Gupta, GDC Kathua, Shahjad Ali, GDC Bishnah, Anuradha Sharma, Dogra Degree College, Vikas Karlopia and Gagan Kumar.
GDC Akhnoor beat IMS Patoli by (2-1), Trikuta Degree College defeated GDC, Kalakote by (2-0), PG Department drubbed GDC Bishnah by (2-0), GGM Science College drubbed Dogra Degree College by (2-0) and GDC Kathua got the better of GDC Samba by (2-0).
The matches were officiated by Ravish Vaid, Sanjeev Sharma, Gourav Sharma, Ankit Sharma, Shivam and Jeevan Bhagat.
