JAMMU, Dec 7: Inter-College Yoga Championship for men and women, organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, concluded at University of Jammu, here today.
In Men’s team category, PG Department of University of Jammu bagged 1st position, while 2nd and 3rd positions were clinched by the GDC Paloura (Mishriwala) and GDC Rajouri respectively, besides in individual category, the 1st position was won by Vikrant Anthral of PG Department University of Jammu, whereas 2nd and 3rd positions were secured by Baljinder Singh (GCED Jammu) and Kanav Pardhan (GDC Kunjwani) respectively.
In Women’s team category GCW Parade Jammu lifted 1st position, whereas 2nd and 3rd positions were won by PG Department University of Jammu and GWC Udhampur respectively, besides in individual category, the 1st position was bagged by Vikansha Pandita, GMC Rajouri, while 2nd and 3rd positions were clinched by Risha Rajput GCW Parade and Piyush Sharma, GWC Udhampur respectively.
Dr Daud Iqbal Baba, Director Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu awarded the trophies and medals to the winners in the presence of Physical Director/ Teachers, invited as guests from the University and civil society.
The matches were officiated by the technical panel of experts including Sanjeev Kumar Pandey, Anil Gupta, Harinder Pal Singh, Mukesh Sharma, Komal Gupta and Sandeep Sharma.
