JAMMU, Nov 30: Jammu and Kashmir Police is organizing Inter Battalion Sports Meet from December 2 to 7 at Gulshan Ground, here.
This was stated by IGP Armed SA Watali while interacting with media persons here today. During the press conference, DIG AP and all Commanding Officers were present.
He informed that the opening ceremony will be held on Decemeber 2 at 11 am at Gulshan Ground Jammu and the closing ceremony will be held on December 7.
IGP Armed said that outstanding players (men/ women) amongst all Armed and IRP Battalion personnel will compete in this tournament, adding that NGOs and other participants will compete in basketball, volleyball, tug of war, boxing, judo, wushu, wrestling, weightlifting, football, handball, kabaddi, hockey, shooting, athletic, while GOs will compete in badminton, table tennis, lawn tennis and shooting.
The games will be played at Gulshan Ground, Jammu University Ground, DPL Jammu, Hakku Stadium, Gym Complex PHQ, CTC Sunjwan and Indoor Hall GOs Mess.
Games will be conducted on knock out basis as per rules and regulations laid down by All India Police Sports Control Board in accordance with respective rules and regulations of Indian Sports Associations/ Federations, IGP informed.
