JAMMU, Jan 30: A 5-day “Induction Training Programme using ICT”, got underway at IECS Polytechnic Purkhoo Camp, Domana, here today.
The programme is being organised by National Institute of Technical Teachers Training & Research, Chandigarh.
The programme was inaugurated by Er Nazir Hussain Malik, Secretary J&K, State Board of Technical Education in a well attended function.
The inaugural session was presided over by Er Vidhi S Singh Jamwal, chairman-cum-Managing Trustee, Jamwal Group of Educational Institutions and was attended among others by Thakur Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal, vice-chairman, JGEI and Er Renu Bangroo, Managing Director, JGEI, Dr Bhupinder Singh, Principal, Govt College of Engineering & Technology, Er Neetu Maini, Principal Govt Polytechnic, Er Ritu Jamwal, Principal Govt Polytechnic for Women, Er Jitender Kesar, Registrar SBOTE and Er Kuldip Raj Sharma, Principal North Polytechnic.
The faculty development programme is being attended by faculty members from various Engineering institutions in Jammu.
Prof KG Gupta, Principal IECS Polytechnic presented welcome address, while Er Vidhi S Singh Jamwal and Dr SK Gupta, Senior faculty member from NITTTTR, Chandigarh also spoke on the occasion.
Chief guest NH Malik welcomed the conduct of such programmes in private polytechnics and laid the stress on faculty development so that teaching standards in Polytechnics in the State could improve.
