Katra, Nov 7: Jammu and Kashmir Indian Style Wrestling Association in its special endeavour to aware the girls students regarding women wrestling going to be organised for the first time at Katra very soon,organised an awareness compaign in association with Headmaster GGHS Pouni,Distt.Reasi here today.
Sanjeev Kumar Sharma ,Joint Secretary J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association threw light on the Career Prospects of Women Wrestling with special foccus to biographies of women legends so as to inspire the girl child at grass root level.
Vaishno Devi Headmaster GGHS Pouni was the chief guest who while speaking on the occasion stessed on the girl students to participate in various games under the guidance of Physical Education Teachers to avail the opportunities in their careers.
Shiv Kumar Sharma ,Treasurer Indian Style Wrestling Federation of India in its message to the girls students assured all type of possible help in generating awareness and making good team of women wrestlers at block levels of the State so that State women wrestling may shine at international arena
Teachers and students showed much interest in the programme.
Among others present on the occasion included Ashwani Kumar, Anil Kumar, Ganesh Kumar, Sushil Kumar, Ram Kishore, Sushil Kumar and Rekha Sharma.
