Iknoor to lock horns with Ragni in U-12 girls’summit clash

JAMMU, Nov 8: Outplaying their rivals convincingly in the semifinals, peddlers Iknoor and Ragni have made it to finals of the Under-12 Cadet Girls category of the ongoing 32nd Jammu District Table Tennis Championship 2016, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Table Tennis Assoc-iation at MA Stadium, here.
The second day of the championship witnessed some nail biting clashes, where the participants gave their 100 percent effort to secure wins.
In Under-12 Cadet Girls Ssmifinals, Iknoor beat Tanishka by 2-0, while Ragini drubbed by Hargun 2-1.
Meanwhile, in Under-12 cadet boys semifinal, Akhilesh trounced Karmanya by 3-1 and Divyansh thrashed Rohan Langar by 3-0.
Earlier, in Under-12 Cadet Girls first round, Tanishka outplayed Mavleen by 2-0, Jhanvi beat Divyanshi by 2-0, Vidhushi got better of Syesha 2-1 and Snigdha prevailed over Divyani by 2-1, while Under-12 Cadet Girls quarterfinals, Tanishka beat Jhanvi by 2-1, Ragini outclassed Vidhushi by 2-1 and Hargun defeated Snigdha by 2-0.
In Under-14 Sub Junior Boys first round, Akshit beat Sarthak 2-0, Naman trounced Satyam 2-1, Vishav beat Abhijay 2-0, Pranav got better of Lakshay 2-1, Manit trounced Arindam 2-0.
Prominent among others who witnessed the matches today were Satbir Singh, Rajan Sharma, I P Singh, Satish Gupta, Ajay sharma, Anil Dutta, Gurvinder Sasan, Vasu Dewan, Narinder Singh, Sandeep Kha-dotra, Shorya Sharma, Sheetal Gandotra, Narinder Kaur and Sanjeev Gupta.
