JAMMU, Nov 20: IGP Kashmir V K Birdi inaugurated open air gymnasium in Police Housing Colony Bemina and dedicated it to all the police families residing there.
On the occasion, Sujit Kumar, DIG CKR, Amit Verma, ASP West Zone, Shahjahan SDPO West and other police officers were present. Also present were many inmates of the Colony, particularly the children.
The gym has been established under the Civic Action Program of Police Department by Range Police Headquarters Srinagar.
Birdi interacted with children present and expressed the hope that Jammu and Kashmir Police is able to establish more and more such facilities for our officials as well as their families. The officer also took opportunity to speak with some of the inmates to enquire about any of the problems they may be facing. Pertinent to mention this was the first visit of IGP Kashmir to the colony since he took over his office.
