JAMMU, Jan 8: Ishar Cricket Club (ICC) will lock horns with Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy (MGCA) in the summit clash of the ongoing 3rd Budding Cricket Tourney, being organized by Jammu Tawi Cricket Club at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here tomorrow.
In the first semifinal match, ICC crushed Star Cricket Club (SCC) by 28 runs and registered berth in final of the tourney.
Batting first, ICC scored 156 runs for the lost of 5 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Muneeb was the top scorer with 40 runs in 24 balls, whileas Pavit Singh and Raghav contributed 36 runs each.
For SCC side, Sudhanshu and Jagandeep claimed two wickets each, whileas Yogesh took 1 wicket.
In reply, SCC failed to chase the target and was bundled out at 128 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Sant Bakshi made 35 runs, whileas Sanchit Dass and Jagandeep made 27 and 17 runs respectively.
For ICC side, Muneeb was the pick of the bowler with 2 wickets, whileas Pavit Singh and Prince shared 1 wicket each.
Muneeb of ICC was declared as man of the match.
In the second semifinal match, Sahil Mahotra made 72 runs and guided MGCA to register win over Country Cricket Academy (CCA) Gharota by 39 runs.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, MGCA made 158 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Sahil Mahotra played well, smashed some splendid strokes and made 72 runs, Musaif strokes 47 runs and Abhishek contributed 12 runs.
For CCA side, Arastu, Himanshiv, Sushant and Ashish shared 1 wicket each.
CCA in reply bundled out at 122 runs by losing 9 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Satyam Gupta was the top scorer with 59 runs.
For MGCA side, Sanat claimed 2 wickets, while Satyabarat, Ankush and Sampark took 1 wicket each.
Sahil Mahotra of MGCA was declared as man of the match.
The matches were officiated by Surinder and Indraj as umpires, whileas the scoreboard was maintained by Shashi Pal.
