HSS Pouni organizes National Environment Awareness Campaign

REASI, May 9: National Environment Awareness Campaign 2013 was organised by Government Higher Secondary School Pouni on the theme ‘Biodiversity Conservation’, here today.
A huge rally was taken out by the students and staff of the School which was flagged off by the Principal Jagdish Raj Sharma in the presence of prominent citizens, elected representatives and SHO Pouni Pushpinder Singh.
It passed through Main Bazaar of Pouni with the students raising slogans and holding placards depicting theme Biodiversity.
A debate was also organised on the importance of conservation of Environment for future generation.
15 students participated in the final round in which Rubi Sharma scored first position while Aditya Sharma and Sonam shared second position and Ashutosh Kesar clamed the third position. They were awarded  prizes by the Principal Jagdish Raj Sharma, who exhorted upon the students to become torch bearers for the society as they are the best instruments for making conceptual change in the environment conservation.
