AKHNOOR, Aug 18: Government Higher Secondary School, Narriwala drubbed Government Higher Secondary School Akhnoor by a margin of 6 points in kho-kho U-19 boys in the ongoing Zonal Level Tournament of Akhnoor and Choki Chora zones in the disciplines of kho-kho, volleyball and kabaddi, being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Jammu, here.
Earlier, Akhnoor drubbed Chowki Chora by a margin of 10 points in an easy contest by (16-6).
In volleyball, Government Higher Secondary School Sohal beat St Francis Higher Secondary School by 2 sets to one (2-1), while in kabaddi HSS Narriwala thrashed HSS Akhnoor by 18 points in a one-sided contest.
The tournament is being held under the overall supervision of Tirath Ram, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Jammu and is being conducted by Sher Singh, Zonal Physical Education Officer, Akhnoor.
Earlier, the tournament was declared open by Bal Ji Thaploo, Principal HSS, Akhnoor in a simple function.
