HPS, APS Domana, KCPS thrash rivals; enter into next stages

JAMMU, Oct 26: Inter School Multi-Sports Competition “Sportathon”, being organized by KC Sports Club entered Day-3, here today.
INDOOR CRICKET: Heritage Public School (HPS) and APS Domana outclassed their rivals and advanced to next stage.
In first match, Heritage Public School registered win over KC International School by 20 runs and entered into the next stage.
Batting first after losing the toss, Heritage Public School made 42 runs in 10 overs. Aarsh was the highest scorer with 12 runs, whereas Simrandeep and Gurdut made 8 runs each. For KC International, Yuvraj and Vasu took 2 wickets each.
In reply, KC International failed to chase the target and made just 22 runs. Thus, Heritage Public School won the match by 20 runs. Omar and Vasoo scored 5 runs each for their side. From bowling side, Shaimak and Ashish took 3 wickets each.
In second match, Delhi Public School won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first, APS Domana put up a score of 31 runs in 10 overs. Anmol made 8 runs whereas Samragya and Pranav scored 6 and 4 runs, respectively. From bowling side, Madhav took 5 wickets while Dhruv and Shahzad took 2 wickets each.
In reply, Delhi Public School was all out at 29 in 9.2 overs and lost the match. Yuvraj scored 9 runs for his side and Chitwan also contributed 7 runs. From bowling side, Amit took 4 wickets and Shahzad took 2 wickets each.
OUTDOOR CRICKET: In the lone match played today, DPS defeated KC Public School by 20 runs.
After winning the toss, DPS decided to bat first and put up a score of 109 runs in 15 overs. Harsimar was the highest scorer with 46 runs whereas Raj Partap and Anmol made 26 and 14 runs, respectively. From bowling side, Jaswinder took 3 wickets.
In reply, KC Public School failed to chase the target and made just 90 runs. Thus, DPS won the match by 20 runs. Vansh and Jagpreet made 5 runs each for their side. From bowling side, Shaimak and Ashish took 3 wickets each.
