JAMMU, Feb 12: Horizon Cricket Club and Champion Cricket Club registered convincing victories over their rivals in the ongoing KC Sports Club Cricket Cup 2020, which got underway at KCSC ground, here today.
In the first match, Horizon Cricket Club defeated Spartan Cricket Club in an easy contest.
Earlier, Spartan CC won the toss and decided to bat first.
Batting First, SCC made 97 runs in the allotted 20 overs. Ayush top scored with 32 runs. For Horizon Club, Paras Sharma and Ashish Singh took 2 wickets each.
In reply, Horizon CC chased the target in 8 overs. Vivrant scored magnificent 76 runs. Ayush took 2 wickets for Spartan Club.
Vivrant of Horizon Cricket Club was declared as the man of the match.
In another match, Champion Cricket Club defeated Sajad Cricket Club by 19 runs.
Winning the toss and batting first, Champion Cricket Club scored 128 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Bhanu and Abhimanyu scored 40 and 20 runs respectively. For SCC, Azhar was the pick of the bowlers, who took 4 important wickets.
In reply, Sajad Cricket Club bundled out for 109 runs. Khalid and Arman contributed 21 and 17 runs respectively. From Champion Club, Akshit Chadha took 3 important wickets, while Ateeb took 2 wickets. Akshit Chadha of Champion Cricket Club was declared as the man of the match.
