Hockey Coaching Camp concludes

POONCH, July 14: Twelve days hockey Coaching Camp organized by Baba Banda Singh Hockey Club Poonch under the aegis of Hockey J&K, concluded here today.
The Camp was earlier inaugurated by SSP Poonch and Brig. Commander on July 2, 2017.
On the concluding day, an exhibition match was played between Poonch Today and Baba Band Singh Bahadur Hockey Club which ended in goalless draw.
MLA Haveli Shah Mohd Tantray was the chief guest on the occasion and Dy.SP DAR Mohan Sharma was the guest of honour. Youth PDP Leader S Gurdeep Singh Saraf was the special guest on the occasion.
Highlighting the role of the Club, Gurdeep Singh Saraf said that the young club under the supervision of NIS Coach has done a lot for the promotion of hockey and needs huge encouragement.
DySP DAR, Mohan Lal, while speaking on the occasion said that Poonch youth is full of talent and it is an encouraging sign for the future.
He said that youth needs to play an active role in society and sports make one a disciplined person.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Haveli Shah Mohd Tantray, said that he felt proud to see the young coaches performing with dedication, adding that Government fully backs sports activities and assured the organizers for his availability at any time. ”
The proceedings were conducted by Amreesh Kumar, while the vote of thanks was presented by Matinder Pal Singh.
