HISI organizes ‘Book Donation Camp’

JAMMU, May 2: Hira Lal Abrol, chairman of the NGO ‘Healthy India Stronger India’ (HISI) organized a special “Book Donation Camp” at the head office of the NGO, at Raghunathpura, here today.
Free computer education books, pens and notebooks were presented to the students of computer department of the training centre of the NGO. These students hail from humble backgrounds.
Healthy India Stronger India is running Free Training Centre for skill development of needy and poor children from BPL families. The training center offers 3 months, free courses in Basic Computers, Cutting & Tailoring Classes, Beautician Course, Vocal Music, Dance as well as Free Library for the students.
Nearly 6000 students have passed out, after successful completion of courses from this center. They have been placed in various organizations and some of them have even started their own ventures. It is heartening to see that they are earning a good livelihood for their families and are living a respectable life in society.
In addition to training in skill development, HISI equips its students with moral values and life skills. Students are motivated to live a healthy life and to stay away from tobacco and drugs. HISI has the vision to uplift the place of women in the society and make them self-reliant. Girls and women trainees of the NGO are trained in ‘Self Defence.
