Hindi Saptah celebrated at DPS

JAMMU, Sept 19: Primary and Pre-Primary wing of Delhi Public School, Jammu celebrated ‘Hindi Week’ with great fanfare and enthusiasm.
It was an attempt to promote and propagate the use of our national language and to explore the hidden talents of the students.
The programme started with the lighting of the traditional  lamp followed by a variety of cultural programmes including Saraswati Vandana, Krishna Leela, skits, poems and songs.
The entire week saw a gamut of Hindi language based activities taking place in the classes Pre-Nursery to Vth  like Kavita Goshthi, story telling, book reading, Meri Pehchan, Language games : Bhoojho to Jaane, I-card making, Shabdon ka Khel etc.
While conducting these activities, students were helped to organize their thoughts and expression in Hindi.
Meenu Gupta, Headmistress upto Middle School DPS Jammu, expressed her views on importance of giving due recognition to Hindi through her poetic expressions – “Hindi Bhasha Ko Apnao”.
Dr Aruna Gupta, chief-guest on the occasion, motivated the students to strengthen their Hindi language and feel proud of it as it kindles a national spirit amongst us.
She also invited students to send their creative and poetic expression to her to be published in Amar Setu, a Hindi Magazine, with which she is actively associated.
