Heritage Strings-‘School of Rock’ concludes ‘Monsoon Masti’

JAMMU, Aug 31: Heritage Strings – ‘School of Rock’, Bakshi Nagar and City Square Mall, concludes a six-week event “Monsoon Masti” by a rocking performance of Rockstar Anmol Amla and the band.
The band consists of Sohail Mushtaq as the lead Guitarist, Avnish Sharma as the bassist, Shubhdeep Singh as the keyboardist and Elisha John as the drummer.
Songs like hotel California, Hero, Hum Kis Gali, Teri Dewani, etc, were played in western beats. A special guitar solo was presented by Sohail Mushtaq.
Dogri song, Tarre Tudah Piyein was highly appreciated by the chief guest, Anjali Sharma, Director Doordarshan Jammu.
Anmol Amla and the band took the audience on a retro sojourn, singing/playing various musical gems from the 70s and 80s Bollywood like Saara Zamana, Jaane Jaan Dhoond Ta, Pyaar Humme Kis Mhod Pe Le Aaya.
Shivani Sharma a noted artist from Jammu painted sea scene on canvas which was also the highlight of the programme. This was followed by distribution of certificates by Anjali Sharma and AS Bains to the students of Heritage Strings-School of Rock who participated in Golden Guitar Fest 2014, which is an yearly event organized by Nirvana Academy.
Mementoes were presented to the chief guest and the special guests in the presence of a huge crowd comprising of several noted dignitaries from the city.
President, Nirvana Academy, Hitesh Badyal concluded the event with a word on the growing importance of art and related fields in the city and urged all present to do their best to encourage participation in music, literature and performing arts.
The event was coordinated by Sanchit Dewan while the show was hosted by Kunal Anand and Ashish Gupta.
