‘Healthy India Stronger India’ organizes book donation camp

JAMMU, May 3: ‘Healthy India Stronger India’, a unique foundation managed by its chairman, Hira Lal Abrol, organized a donation camp at Peer Kho, Ward No 3, Jammu.
The event was organized to donate free books for reading along with notebooks and pencils for writing to poor and needy children of surrounding areas. Disadvantaged children and their parents had gathered on the site for the program.
Hira Lal Abrol, in his address, motivated the children to study hard to be successful in life. He encouraged the youth to learn skills and get good qualification so that they earn well and raise the morale of their family by earning respectable income. He quoted examples of children who dwelled in slums, but by virtue of their hard work and sheer dedication, have cleared IAS examinations. recently. There is no substitute for hard work, he added.
Excited children hugged the books and notebooks to their chest and promised to work for a bright future. They assured Abrol that they will work with great zeal and come out of their life from slums to live a better life.
Healthy India, Stronger India is an NGO, established exclusively for charity. Its office is located at Raghunathpura, Jammu. The NGO is running a ‘Free Training Centre’ for skill development of needy and poor children from BPL families. The training centre offers 3 months, free courses in Basic Computers; Cutting & Tailoring Classes; Beautician Course as well as Free Library for the students. Nearly 500 students have passed out after successful completion of courses from this centre.
The NGO has been organizing free medical checkup camps and has been distributing free medicines, books and relief material in the hours of need.
