Haryana crushes J&K by innings & 186 runs

JAMMU, Oct 24: Haryana crushed Jammu and Kashmir by one innings and 186 runs in the ongoing Vijay Merchant Under-16 Cricket Tournament.
Riding on a magnificent 168 runs by Parth Shiv Vats and 103 by Garv Sangwan, Haryana declared their first innings on 388/8. From J&K, Azhar Amin Wani took 4 wickets, while Divanshu Jamwal bagged 3.
In reply, Jammu and Kashmir bundled out for 105 runs in the first innings and 97 in the second essay, thus lost the match by one innings and 186 runs. Promising middle-order batsman, Akshit Gandral scored brilliant 62 runs in the first innings and well made 25 runs in the second essay. Ansh Thakral was the wrecker-in-chief for Haryana, scalping 4 important wickets in the first innings, while Garvit Kundu was the pick of the bowlers in the second innings taking 5 important wickets.
