Harwan Cricket League Season-4 commences

SRINAGAR, May 8: Harwan Cricket League Season-4 commenced at Chandpora playing field here today.
Twenty four teams from various areas of Srinagar District will participate in the tournament.
The inaugural match was played between Darbagh and Mulfaq.
On this occasion, the management of HCL said that adequate arrangements are being made during this championship.
The social activists Peer Bilal and Dr G M Rather while speaking on the occasion said that the purpose of holding the event is to give a chance to budding players to exhibit their talent besides honing their skills. They said that new players will one day represent Kashmir in national-level competitions.
The other speakers while highlighting the endeavours of HCL said that keeping youth busy in sports activities will go a long way in keeping them away from the emerging menace of drug addiction.
Among others, senior functionaries of HCL which included Parviez Ahmed Dar, Ghulam Mohammad Dar, M Yaqub Dar, Ghulam Nabi Baba, Tahir Mukhdomi, Hilal Ahmad Rather, Abdul Rashid Bhat and Aasif were also present on the occasion.
