Harvinder to leave for Thailand for Softball Coaches Course

JAMMU, Feb 12: One of the six elite coaches in the nation, Harvinder Singh of Jammu has been chosen to participate in the prestigious WBSC Softball Asia Coaches Certification Level-1 Course and Seminar, which will take place in Pattaya, Thailand, from February 17 to 20, 2024, due to his reputation and track record.
Working as a Physical Education Teacher (PET), appointed under SRO-376 of J&K Government for outstanding sportspersons, Harvinder Singh was the Chief Coach of the Indian National Senior Softball team for the Asia Cup Softball Championship held at Kochi, Japan this year.
Harvinder has the reputation of being the topper of the 2006-2007 batch of Diploma Courses in Sports Coaching Softball discipline, from Sports Authority of India (SAI), National Institute of Sports (NIS), Southern Centre, Bengaluru.
“It is a proud movement for all the entire sports fraternity of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir that Harvinder Singh, Physical Education Teacher at Government High School, Raipur, Satwari, Jammu is one among the six reputed Coaches throughout the country to get the nod of selection panel,” said Waseem Raja Khan, General Secretary Softball Association of J&K.
