Handwara Police organizes Cycle Rally

HANDWARA, May 20: Handwara Police organized a Cycle Rally, here today.
Hundreds of students participated in this Rally which started from Sagipura and culminated at Environmental Grounds Handwara spanning around 7 km.
People of Handwara including women were seen clapping on the road side for the encouragement of young riders.
SSP Handwara, Gulam Jeelani Wani flagged off the students from Sagipura Handwara.
Meanwhile, appreciating the efforts of Handwara Police, the locals and students urged SSP to continue with such outreach programmes and hoped that in future also such programmes would be conducted which will benefit youth.
While speaking on the occasion, SSP said,”We are trying to channelize the energy of youth in positive directions. We would be organizing similar type of competitions in near future also.”
At the end, a felicitation ceremony was organized in which participants were honoured with certificates and prizes.
Mubashir Tariq Shiekh bagged first position and was awarded with Rs 10,000 as cash prize along with a citation, while second prize was bagged by Ubaid Mushtaq with a cash prize of Rs 5000 and the 3rd prize of Rs 3000 went to Irfan Ahmed.
Among others SDPO Handwara Shabir Khan, DySP DAR Handwara Farooq Habib, DySP Operations Handwara Manish Kumar, Station House Officers, Divisional Officers, Principal of Hill Grang School, Javed Ahmed and Chief Academic Officer, Aamir Bashir were present on the occasion.
