JAMMU, Sept 5: The 9-Member Indian Wushu team was flagged off by the President Wushu Association of India, Bhupender Singh Bajwa in the presence of General Secretary, Suhel Ahmed for the Star League Cup 2019, Shanghai Cooperation Organization Wushu Championship to be held at China.
The team was sanctioned by the Sports Authority of India at cost to the government.
The Championship is a building up competition for the 15th World Wushu Championship scheduled to be held at Shanghai (China) from October 17 to October 24, 2019.
The National Coaching camp was held at SAI Bhopal for the preparation of the Indian team for this Championship.
The team is headed by J&K’s Kuldeep Handoo (Chief Coach of India), who is being accompanied by Rajesh Kumar Tailor (Coach).
The players include Sunil, Uchit Sharma, Vikrant, Ravi, Mukesh, Suraj and Mahipal Singh.
