JAMMU, Mar 31: A Guru Geeta recitation competition was held at Bhagawaan Gopinath Ashram Udaywala Bohri today.
The competition was organized by Bhagawaan Gopinath Ji Trust on the occasion of Navreh in which 18 competitors took part.
The competition is held to promote Bhagawaan consciousness among the youth. The competition was categorized into sub junior, junior and senior groups.
P N Pandita, M K Santoshi and S N Marahata acted as judges.
Bhavishya Saraf, Hemani Raina and Sraveen Koul bagged first second and third prizes in sub junior category while Suhasi Chrangoo, Sachita Fotedar and Kumud Koul got first second and third prizes in junior group.
In senior group, the first second and third prizes were bagged by Shreya Chrangoo, Nimisha Pandita and Padmeja Ganjoo respectively. They were given certificates and trophies while Vidushi Tikoo was given the consolation prize. The other participants were given certificates.
The function was presided over by Ramesh Hangloo, Director Sharda Channel. Meanwhile, nine day long spiritual activity in connection with Navratra also started in the Ashram.
