Green Model HSS Doda donates Rs 1,00,000 for Kerala flood victims

DODA, Aug 21: As a part of goodwill gesture and to provide relief aid to flood victims of Kerala, the management, staff and students of Green Model Higher Secondary School Doda today donated Rs 1,00,000 through Deputy Commissioner Doda, Simrandeep Singh. On this occasion, the students of Green Model HSS Doda led by its Principal, Om Parkash Chandail met Deputy Commissioner Doda and handed over the Cheque of Rs 1, 00, 000 as a donation for flood victims of Kerala.
Principal, Mr Chandail has made an appeal to all Schools and NGOs of J&K besides other Social Organizations to come forward and generously donate for this noble cause.
Further, Mr Chandail said that our heart goes out with those families who lost their near and dear ones in this devasting flood and expressed his grief and sorrow on this tragic natural disaster and prayed for the early recovery of those who got injured.
DDC Doda Simrandeep Singh also lauded the efforts of O P Chandail and the students of his school for their donation for such noble cause.
It is pertinent to mention here that GMHSS Doda became the first school of J&K which came forward to extend the helping hand to flood-ravaged Kerala victims.
This move of Green Model HSS Doda was widely appreciated by all.
