JAMMU, Nov 4: Grand Finale of Kashir Kalakaar season-2, organized by Athrot Charitable, Socio Cultural Trust was held with pomp and show at Abhinav Theatre, here today.
45 children contested in singing, dance and dress competition, who had qualified preliminary rounds of auditions and knockout rounds.
Ravi Bhan, Dr Deepali Wattal, Akash Dogra and Kanwal Peshin were the adjudicators of the event.
The programme started with traditional welcome with ‘Izband Kanger’ and ‘Kenzi Khoss’ presented to chief guest and the other dignitaries, followed by ‘Henzey Vanwun’ and ‘Vachin’ sung by Suman Bhat and the team.
Earlier, renowned actor Kanwal Peshin presented welcome address, which was followed by the singing performances by winners of Kashir Kalakaar season-1 Anikait Hashia and Pooja Pandita, followed by Suneeta Bhan and Dress & Dance competition.
Later singers in junior and senior category presented ‘bhajans’ which enthralled the audiences.
On the occasion, a galaxy of talented persons were awarded for their contribution to the society.
Pt. Tikalal Taploo Lok Sewa Samaan was presented to Ajay Pandita (KMECT); Pt Amar Nath Vaishnavi Memorial Lok Sewa Samaan to Sanjay Saraf (LJP); Pt. Vijay Malla Memorial Award in the field of singing to Anikait Hashia; Pt Jaggan Nath Shivpuri Memorial Award in the field of Music to Kuldeep Saproo; Pt Shanti Koul Memorial Award for reviving Theatre to Vijay Raina (Bhoomie Human Welfare Society); Pt. Kshemender Raina Memorial Award in acting to Kosar Chandpuri; Piary Lal Handoo Memorial Award in Mono Acting to Anil Koul (Chingari); Pt Sham Koul Memorial Award to King C Bharti; Pt Makhan Lal Sadhu Memorial Award in Acting to Arvin Tikoo; Gaurav Samaan to Sandhya Dhar; Pt Moti Lal Saqi Memorial Award in Play Writing to Manoj Pandita Sheeri; Pt Omkar Nath Raina, Memorial Award in Instrument Playing to Sarja Raina; Pt Hira Lal Chatta Memorial Award was given to Surinder Pandit, social activist from Jagtti; Poshkar Nath Bhan, Memorial Award was given to Ashok Vinay Pandita for acting in Bhaand Duhai; Kirti Samaan was awarded to Pankaj Handoo for his choreography; Audience Choice Award of Kashir Kalakaar-1 was given to Shivani Koul an upcoming singer from Jagtti; Ravi Bhan, Deepali Wattal and Akash Dogra were awarded for judging the performances of the children; Rishab Dorjee was awarded for his contribution towards KP community by reviving music; Kheerbhawani Yatra Committee under the dynamic leadership of Kiran Wattal was also awarded for organizing Kheer Bhawani yatra 2017 and Kamal Ganjoo was also awarded with a Kenzie Khoss for his valuable contribution.
The first prize in singing Junior Category was bagged by Stanzin Barbie, 2nd prize Chhavi Koul and 3rd prize by Daksh Bhat and Krishna Bhat, while the first prize in singing Senior Category was bagged by Kartik Kak, 2nd by Shubra Shadi Tickoo and 3rd prize by Smeeksha Mehta and the the first prize in Dance Category was bagged by Himanshi Pandita, 2nd prize by Surbhi Koul and 3rd by Raghav Pandita.
The first prize in Dress Competition was bagged by Ayushi Kak and Abhinav Dhar, 2nd by Anushka Tikoo and Divya Bhat and 3rd prize by Falin Bhan and Shivi Jatta.
The prizes were distributed by the chief guest Prof Amitabh Mattoo, Advisor to Chief Minister in presence of Girdhari Lal Raina MLC, Ashok Pandit, noted Film Maker, Kiran Wattal and Moti Koul,.
The programme was anchored by Manoj Jad, a noted writer and actor.
Vote of thanks was presented by Pradeep Pandita.
