JAMMU, Feb 10: A function was organized by the Jammu Golfers Association to honour Mukhtyar Ahmed, an employee of Jammu Tawi Golf Course (JTGC) Sidhra and also working as a Caddy during his free time along with golfers for his outstanding performance in a Golf tournament, here today.
The Caddies from North India participated in the event. He was awarded third position among the first three top positions. Mukhtyar Ahmed was presented with a moment and shawl on behalf of the Jammu Golfers Association.
R S Chib, former Minister was the chief guest, while Munish Gupta and Ankush Jamwa, JP Singh former member PSC and Bharat Sharma former IOC were present during the function.
While congratulating Mukhtayar Ahmed, the former Minister said that the sports persons in general and the golfers’ fraternity in particular is proud of the achievement of Mukhtayar Ahmed for bringing laurels to our Union Territory.
He further said that in spite of his humble background and almost zero financial resources, he could achieve this position, which is really commendable and a bright future is waning for him in the field of Golf and our best wishes are always with him.
The prominent among others who attended the function included Salman Nizami, spokesperson DAP, Kunal Chib, Ranjit Kalra and Anoop Khajuria.
