Goa FC drubs FC Kashmir in 2nd Division Football League

KATRA, Apr 3: In the 3rd match of the 2nd Division National League, Goa FC defeated FC Kashmir by two goals to nil (2-0) in an interesting match. The first goal was scored by Hayden in 76 minute of the match while Aaren netted another goal in 84th minute in the second half.
Despite a number of attempts, the Lone Star Kashmir could not succeed in scoring a goal. Gangandeep Singh, skipper of Lone Star Kashmir FC got 2 opportunities but he was unlucky to convert his powerful shots into goals.
The tournament is being organised by J&K Football Association in collaboration with SMVD Shrine Board, under the aegis of All India Football Federation.
Five teams from various parts of the country are taking part in the League.
Vivek Verma, Additional Chief Executive Officer was the chief guest during the match while Dr Arvind Karwani, Deputy CEO and Ashok Kumar Director Sports Shrine Board were the guests of honour.
Among others who present on the occasion were Nazir Bhat, Vice President JKFA, Fayaz Ahmed Sofi, Javed Khan, Rajesh Sharma and Rahul Bakshi, besides staff of Shrine Board and large number of sportspersons, especially football enthusiasts.
The next match of the League will be played between Ahmedabad ARA Club and Lone Star Kashmir on April 6, 2019 at the same venue.
