JAMMU, May 2: Inter School and Zonal Level Tournaments, being organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports in various disciplines were held at different places.
GANDHI NAGAR: In under-14 Kabaddi (boys), GMS Railway beat GHS Khanna Chargal by 3 points, KB Public School defeated GHS Bain Bajalta by 8 points and KB Public School beat Doon International by 11 points, whereas in under-17 category, GHSS Channi Himmat beat GHSS Gandhi Nagar by 4 points, GHS Khanna Chargal beat GHS Deeli by 18 points, GHS Sagoon beat GHS Kasim Nagar by 21 points and KB Public School beat GHSS Sunjwan by 8 points.
In under-14 Kho Kho (boys), GMS Digiana Camp beat GMS Langar by 11 points, Doon International beat GHS Digiana by 7 points, GHS Khanna Chargal beat KB Public School by 5 points and GMS Digiana beat Doon International by 2 points, whereas in under-17 category, GHSS Sunjwan beat GHS Channa Chargal by 2 points.
In under-17 Volleyball (boys), Kb Public School registered win over GHS Chowadhi by 2 sets.
AKHNOOR: Inter School Zonal Level Tournament in the discipline of kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Volleyball and Wrestling for under-14 and 17 boys held at Government HSS Akhnoor.
In under-17 Kho-Kho, GHS Chander Bhaga beat GHS Kotli Tanda, whereas in under-14 category, GHS Chander Bhaga registered win over GHS Mera Mandrian.
In under-14 Kabaddi, St Francis HSS Akhnoor beat GMS Gurha Brahmana, whereas in under-17 category, St Francis HSS Akhnoor defeated GHS Buri.
In under-17 Volleyball, St Francis HSS Akhnoor crushed GHS Buri by 2-0 sets and in under-14 category, GHS Chander Bhaga defeated St Francis HSS Akhnoor by 2-0 sets.
SATWARI: Inter School Competitions in the discipline of Wrestling, Volleyball, Kabaddi and Kho-Kho for under-14 and 17 boys gets underway at Government High School, Jammu Cantt.
In under-14 Wrestling (final), Arun Singh of GGHS Sohanjana emerged winner in under 32 kg category, whereas in under-35 kg category, Bahadur of Middle School Upper Gardigarh clinched first position, in under-38 kg category, Sunil Kumar of Middle School Upper Gardigarh clinched first position, in under-41 kg category, Amit Kumar of GGHS Sohanajana emerged winner, in under-45 kg category, Shiv Kumar of MS Upper Gardigarh bagged first position and in under-50 kg category, Raman Kumar of GGHS Sohanjana secured first position.
In under-17 Wrestling (final), Farooq Ahmed of GGHS Sohanjana emerged winner in under-42 kg category, whereas in under-46 kg, Amit Kumar of GGHS Sohanjana bagged first position, in under-49 kg category, Deepak Kumar of GGHS Sohanjana emerged winner, in under-54 kg category, Rafiq Ahmed of GGHS Sohanajana bagged first position, in under-63 kg category, Parveen Kumar of GGHS Sohanjana emerged winner and in under-69 kg category, Sushil Kumar of GHS Raipur Satwari bagged first position.
In under-14 Kho-Kho, GMS Rakh Bandhu will take on GM Model School Satwari in the summit clash tomorrow. Earlier in the first semis, GMS Rakh Bandhu beat GHS Bhour Camp by 6-2 points, whereas in second semis, GM Model School Satwari beat GMS Gardigarh by 5-2 points.
In under-14 Kabaddi, GHS Laxman Pura beat GMS Sure Chak by 35-27 points, GMS Bhure Chak beat GMS Mandal by 34-26 points and GMS Narwal Pain beat GHS Sohanajana by 20-18 points, whereas in under-17 category, GHSS Mandal beat GHS Raipur Satwari by 30-19 points, GHS Sure Chak beat GHS Laxman Pura by 24-16 points and GHS Jammu Cantt beat GHSS Mandal by 42-26 points.
In under-17 Volleyball, GHSS Mandal beat GHSS Bhour Camp by 2-0 sets.
ARNIA: Inter School Tournament commenced today at GHSS Arnia.
In under-14 Kho-Kho (boys), GMS Pasgal beat GHS Saidgarh by 10 points, whereas in under-17 category, GHS Arnia beat GHS Saidgarh by 13 points.
In under-17 Volleyball, GHSS Allah defeated GHS Saidgarh by 13 points.
In under-14 kabaddi, GHS Saidgarh beat GHS Arnia by 14 points, whereas in under-17 category, GHS Saidgarh beat GHS Arnia by 14 points.
RS PURA: Inter-School Tournament in the discipline of Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Volleyball, Wrestling and Cricket commenced at Government Middle School, Mill Area, RS Pura.
In under-17 Volleyball (boys), GHSS RS Pura lost to Sun Shine Seer Balan by 2 sets, whereas Holy Cross Convent School defeated GHSS Sai by 2-1 sets.
In under-14 Kho-Kho (boys), GHSS Chakroi defeated GBMS Mill Area by one point and New Public Brilliant HS RS Pura beat GHS Biaspur by one point.
In under-17 kabaddi (boys), GHSS Sai beat GHS Rajpur Maulana by one point and GHSS Daskhae registered win over Prince Doll HS by 4 points.

In under-17 Volleyball final (boys), GHSS Kathar Manwal beat GHSS Dansal by 2-0 sets.
In under-14 Kabaddi final (boys), GBHS Kandoli Nagrota beat Sarswati Shiksha Niketan nagrota by 34-12 points, whereas in under-17 category, GBHS Kandoli Nagrota registered win over GHSS Jandrah by 26-12 points.
JIB: Zonal Level Inter School Tournaments for under-17 girls commenced at mini-stadium, Udhampur.
In Kho-Kho, GHS Kawa registered win over GHS Jaganoo, whereas in Kabaddi, GHS Moud defeated GHS Jaganoo.
TIKRI: Zonal level Inter-School Tournament commenced at Government Higher Secondary School Tikri for under-14 and 17 boys.
In under-14 Kho-Kho, GHS Jib and GHS Hartayan secured first and second positions respectively, whereas in under-17 category, GHS Kotli Jijjan and GHS Jib emerged winner and runner-up respectively.
In under-14 Kabaddi, GMS Mora Gujjran and GHS Hartayan clinched first and second positions respectively, whereas in under-17 category, GHS Hartayan and GHS Mand bagged first and second positions respectively.
In under-14 Volleyball, GHS Chiryai and GHS Seen Brahamana claimed first and second positions respectively, whereas in under-17 category, GHS Chiryai and GHS Jib bagged first and second positions respectively.
In under-14 Wrestling, Babu Ali of GMS Mora Gujjran emerged winner in 30 kg category, while in 35 kg category, Amir Javed of GHS Hartayan bagged first position and in 40 kg category, Sourav Khajuria of RK Public School Seen Brahamana emerged winner.
In under-17 Wrestling, Daleep of GHS Seen Brahamana emerged winner in 35 kg category, whereas in 40 kg category, Jeevan Singh of GHS Mand bagged first position, in 45 kg category, Neeraj Singh of GHS Kotli Jijjan bagged first position and in 55 kg category, Ajay Kumar of GHS Jib clinched first position.
SAMBA: Department of Youth Services and Sports District Samba organized Inter School Zonal Level Cricket Tournament at Maharaja Suchet Singh Stadium Arazi Samba.
In under-17 final, GHS Bainglar registered win over GHS Sarna by 10 wickets. Ranjana, Anjali, Madhu Devi and Sandhya Devi were the outstanding players of the match.
KATHUA: Inter School District Level Tournaments in the disciplines of Speedball, Basketball and Jump Rope for under-14 and 17 boys and girls were held at Sports Stadium Kathua and St Xavier Convent School Hatli Morh.
In under-14 Speedball (girls), Mehak Sharma of Minerva Public School Kathua defeated Isha Bharti of Jammu Sanskrit School Kathua in singles, Sonia and Deepaksha of Minerva Public School Kathua trounced Nitasha Gupta and Deepanksha of Jammu Sanskrit School Kathua in doubles. Sharuti of Jammu Sanskrit School Kathua remained first with 30 points and Shivani of Minerva Public School Kathua remained second with 13 points.
In under-14 Speedball (boys), Krishna Kant of Infant Jesus HSS Hiranagar trounced Nitin Sharma of Jammu Sanskrit School Kathua in singles, Adarsh and Piyush of Minerva Public School Kathua defeated Suvansh and Priyanshu of Jammu Sanskrit School Kathua in doubles.
In Solo events, Vansh Kumar of Jammu Sanskrit School stood first with 83 points and Dhanveer Singh of Minerva Public School remained second with 76 points and Varun Sharma of Kartar Public School Barnoti remained third with 65 points.
In under-17 Speedball (boys), Raksul of KPS defeated Rishav of SIS Hiranagar in singles, Paras and Nishkarsh of Jammu Sanskrit School defeated Tushar and Shubham of KPS in doubles.
In under-17 Speeball (girls), Anvi and Garima of SIS Hiranagar trounced Akshita and Shivangi of Minerva Public School in doubles.
In solo events, Tanvi of SIS Hiranagar stood first, while Simran of Minerva Public School Kathua remained second with 73 and 64 points respectively.
In Jump Rope, Rushi Devi of GHS Nagri Parole emerged winner in under-17 category (girls), Shivalika of DAV Lachhipur in under-14 category (girls), Amit of GHSS Barwal and Irfaan of Learning Temples Kathua stood first under-17 and under-14 categories respectively.
HIRANAGAR: Inter School Zone Level Tournament for under-14 and 17 boys and girls concluded with the swimming competition at Jandi pond.
In under-17 category (boys), Himashu and Ajay Aditya of GHSS Hiranagar remained first in their respective competitions, whereas in under-14 category, Sawaran Singh of GMS Dunga stood first in freestyle stroke category.
DODA: Zonal Level Inter School Level Tournaments in various disciplines for under-14 and 17 boys commenced at Gandoh.
In under-17 Kabaddi final, GHSS Gowari beat GHSS Khilotran by one point.
In under-17 Kho-Kho (girls), GHSS Gowari registered win over GMS Changa.
In under-14 Kabaddi final, GHSS Gowari emerged winner, whereas in under-14 Kho-Kho final (girls), GHSS Gowari registered win and in under-14 Volleyball, GHSS Gowari defeated GHS Chanti.
In under-14 and under-17 badminton, GHSS Gowari emerged winner.
