Girls on National Integration Tour interact with Army Commander

UDHAMPUR, Aug 6: Indian Army’s northern command is organizing a National Integration Tour for 20 engineering students of Srinagar School of Management College to Delhi, Mhow and Indore (MP) under Operation Sadbhavana.
The tour comprised of all girl participants from Kashmir Valley, 10 of whom are students of electronics and communication while remaining are pursuing computer engineering.
Lt Gen DS Hooda, Northern Army Commander, interacted with the students at Udhampur today.
During the interaction he exhorted students to work honestly and excel in whatever profession they select later in life. He further asked them to fully utilize the opportunity being provided through this tour and contribute in bringing the change they aspire for as future engineers. The students showed immense enthusiasm and expressed their gratitude to the Army for organizing the tour at a short notice.
During the course of 12 day tour, the students would be interacting with Chief of Army Staff, and various other senior military dignitaries.
The participants would get an opportunity to visit Rashtrapati Bhavan, besides other places of interest in the National Capital, besides visiting other prestigious institutes like IITs and IIM at Delhi and Indore respectively.
Amongst other places, the engineering students will also be visiting the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering and Infantry School located at Mhow (MP) which are premiere training institutes of Indian Army.
The students will have a rare opportunity to witness flag hoisting ceremony and Prime Ministers address to the Nation at Red Fort on the occasion of Independence Day.
