JAMMU, Mar 5: Former Ranji player and Member Indian Cricketers Association is going to represent North Zone Veteran Cricket team in the Inter-Zonal National Veterans Champ ionship, scheduled to be held at Chennai from March 8 to 14.
Rajesh Gill’s name was shortlisted during the trial conducted by the selection committee of Veteran Indian Cricket Federation at New Delhi, while Arun Kumar, former skipper of Punjab State has been nominated as captain of the team.
Six teams including North Zone Warriors, Central Strikers, Eastern Dynamos, Western Lions, Southern Gazelles and Global Patriots are the participating teams in the National championship.
The Indian Veterans Cricket team will be picked based on the performance of inter-zonal matches and the selected Indian team will play the Melbourne Cup in England and Veterans World Cup in the month of July, 2022 and March, 2023.
