GHSS Mandi wins Chess, Carrom titles

POONCH, Mar 4: Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Mandi bagged both Chess and Carrom titles in the two-day Inter-Panchayat competition of Block Mandi and Sathra held under the banner of Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at Boys HSS Mandi, here.
In the Chess final, Girls HSS Mandi defeated HSS Plera whereas in Carrom, HSS Mandi trounced HSS Kulani. Similarly, in boys section, HSS Mandi beat HSS Arai in Chess final while HSS Arai Peeran beat High School Bedar in Carrom final.
Chairman Block Development Committee (BDC) Mandi, Shamim Ganai was the chief guest while Principal of the host school, Rashpal Singh was guest of honour. Among others present were Rajinder Prasad and Raj Kumar (Lecturers); Veerta Devi (ZPEO Mandi) and Sarla Bakshi (ZPEO) Sathra.
The technical penal for the event comprised Sukhbir Singh, Ashok Sharma, Manjeet Singh, Rajinder Singh, Lovinder Singh (All PEMs), Harmik Singh, Sunil Raina, Sahil Sharma, Rajnish Maini, Shamoon Haq Shabir (All PETs), lmtiaz Ahmed and Devinderpal Singh.
