SRINAGAR, Aug 19: Inter School Tournament of Bhalwal Zone in the discipline of Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Volleyball and Wrestling Under 19 years boys category organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports commenced at Government Higher Secondary School here today.
The tournament was declared open by Sarsa Ram, Principal, who was the chief guest on the occasion, in presence of faculty members and participants.
In Kabaddi, Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Domana defeated Government Higher Secondary School Bhalwal by 26-23 points, whereas in Volleyball, Government Higher Secondary School Domana registered win over Government Higher Secondary School Bhalwal by straight 2-0 sets.
In Kho-Kho, Government Higher Secondary School Gharota beat Government Higher Secondary School Bhalwal by 11-05 points.
In Wrestling, Mulkh Raj of Government Higher Secondary School Gharota emerged first in 42 kg weight category, whereas Sham Lal of Government Higher Secondary School Gharota in 46 kg category, Raman Chargota of Government Higher Secondary School Gharota in 55 kg category, Bachan Singh of Government Higher Secondary School Domana and Mohammad Bhasin of Government Higher Secondary School Bhalwal emerged first and second in 60 kg category, Gandeep Singh of Government Higher Secondary School Domana and Ajay Kumar of Government Higher Secondary School Gharota claimed first and second rank in 66 kg category and Anshu Puri of Government Higher Secondary School Bhalwal emerged first in 84 kg category.
The matches were officiated by Gulbir Singh, Kulbir Singh, Ram, Ajay Pal Gill, Jatinder Kumar, Suresh Singh, Sunil Abrol, Mousmi Verma, Geeta Bala, Ajit Singh, Gurdeep Singh, Balwam Singh, Ajmer Singh and Jatinder Singh.
The tournament is being organized under the overall supervision of Bhim Singh, ZPEO Bhalwal.
