GHSS Camp Bohri organises Cultural Prog, Debate Competition

JAMMU, Sept 4: To explore inherent talent of the students, Government Higher Secondary School Camp, Bohri organized Cultural Programme and Debate Competition in its School premises, here today.
Students presented a variety of cultural items including Dogri and Punjabi dances, Hindi and Dogri songs and skit, besides presenting speeches to vie for the top honours.
The best performers were given prizes for their outstanding performances by the School Principal, Ramesh Kumar Hakim in the valedictory function.
The team of adjudicators including Kanchan Razdan, R L Bhat, Daizy Rani and Rajesh Dhar adjudged quartet of Pooja, Vishali, Baby and Diksha of class 9th and the duo of Madhuri and Sonia of class 10th as 1st in the dance item, while Tania of Class 11th bagged first position in Debate Competition and the pair of Deepak of Class 10th and Dheeraj of Class 9th got first position in singing competition.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Hakim while quoting famous essayist Francis Bacon’s lines “Studies serve for delight, for ornament and for ability,” advised the students to work hard to blossom in the society and become good doctors, engineers, scientists and what and what not.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Bharti and Priya, students of Class 11th.
