KATRA, Jan 17: Government High School Kanjali celebrated its Golden Jubilee with pomp and show, here today.
Nirmal Sharma, District Development Commissioner, Reasi was the chief guest on the occasion, while, Headmaster of the School RS Manhas presided over the function.
Various cultural items which included folk dances and folk songs were presented by the students on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion the Headmaster gave detailed background of the School.
Trophies and medals were distributed among students of Government High School Kambaldanga, GHS Kundra, GHS Kanjali and Amba Kids Panthal who remained winner-runner ups in various sports activities and ex-students of school who donated computers.
Addressing the students, DDC Reasi stressed upon the students to work hard and imbibe discipline in life.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Reasi Dr Swaran Singh Chib, Principal DIET Reasi, Vinay Lata, AEE Irrigation and Flood Control Ajay Sharma, Naib Teshildar Katra Sher Singh Thappa, NCC Officer Lieut Karan Gupta, president Youth Association Katra, Atul Verma and Sarpanch Kanjali Sham Lal.
