JAMMU, Dec 3: GGM Science College both men and women teams entered into finals of Inter-Collegiate Basketball tournament, organised by Cluster University of Jammu at GGM Science College, here today.
Dr Jatinder Khajuria, Registrar Cluster University of Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion.
In men’s category, GGM Science College got a walkover against Government College of Education, while MAM College trounced Government SPMR College of Commerce by 25-15 points and entered into the final of the tournament. Puneet Verma of MAM College played very well and scored 13 points.
In women’s category GGM Science College outplayed GCW Gandhi Nagar by 25-01 points. Both Tejaswini Khajuria and Akriti scored 10 points each for the GGM Science College team.
The tournament was played under the overall supervision of Dr Vinod Bakshi, Physical Director GGM Science College Jammu and Sports Coordinator Cluster University of Jammu.
Prof Rubina Yasmeen, Prof Seema Kumari, Aijaz Malik, Physical Director SPMR College of Commerce, Dr Roopali Slathia, Physical Director GCW Gandhi Nagar College and Neenu Sawhney, Physical Director MAM College Jammu were present during the event.
The matches were officiated by Amanjot Singh, Jaskirat Singh, Sachin, Parveen, Abhinav Sharma, Sushma Jamwal and Gurdeep Singh.
