JAMMU, June 18: Making aware about new mode of examination declared by University of Jammu, various Govt Degree Colleges (GDCs) organised inter-collegiate quiz competitions of different themes for 6th semester students.
Department of Chemistry of Govt Degree College Ramnagar organised an online national level quiz competition on “Organic Spectroscopy”.
About 150 participants from various colleges and universities across the country including HNB Garhwal University, GNDU Amritsar, Swahid Peoli Phukan College, Namti, Muthayammal, KSK College and Beed College of Arts & Science participated.
The event was organized by Prof Ritika Mahajan, HOD Chemistry (Convener) and Prof Ram Krishan, Assistant Professor of Botany (Organising Secretary) under the supervision of Dr Udhey Bhanu, Principal of the College.
E-certificates were distributed to the participants who secured more than 60 percent marks in the competition. Pratiksha and Sakul Kharka of GDC Ramnagar shared 1st position, Kumar Saksham of GDC Ramnagar bagged 2nd position and Sunidhi Sharma of GDC Kathua secured 3rd position.
Principal of the College applauded the organising team for preparing the students for upcoming examination.
Computer Department of GDC Paloura (Mishriwala) today conducted a national level online quiz competition on the theme “Basic Computer Fundamentals” under the supervision of College Principal, Rita Bhagat.
The event was organised by Amit Sanotra, Jai Kumar Lecturers of Computer Department and Prof Narayan Dutt (Convenor) in which 300 students from different states participated.
Rinku Thakur of GDC Paloura bagged 1st position, Navneet Sharma of DIT University Dehradun secured 2nd position whereas Razia of GDC Paloura clinched 3rd position.
E-certificates were given to the participants who secured more than 80 percent marks in the competition.
