JAMMU, Nov 9: As part of National Environmental Awareness campaign an Intra-College Quiz Competition was organized at Govt Degree College Thannamandi, today.
The series of quiz programmes has been initiated with the aim to bring awareness and attitudinal changes among students about environment, bio-resources and ecological concerns.The programme was presided over by Prof (Dr) Mushtaq Ahmed Lone, Principal of the college.
The participants from science streams were divided into six teams. Team C, comprising of students namely; Gohar, Asif, Farhad, Arfat and Sabha, emerged as winner, while as team B and Team A bagged 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
Prof Mohd Junaid Jazib (HoD, Environmental Sciences) conducted the programme.
Faculty members who assisted the programme included Prof Tahir Raoof Malik, Prof Rubeena Kosser, Prof Iram Bhat and Manzoor Ahmed Sofi.
