JAMMU, July 3: Department of Punjabi, Government Degree College Sunderbani today organised an inter-collegiate poster making competition for spreading awareness among students about the harmful effects of plastic bags to environment.
About 37 students from different colleges of J&K participated. The event was coordinated by Prof Beant Singh whereas the programme was organised by Prof Davinder Kumar and Prof Satinderpal Singh under the overall supervision of College Principal, Prof Vandana Gupta.
The event was judged by Prof Gurjeet Singh of GDC Nowshera, Prof Satinderpal Singh and Prof Beant Singh of GDC Sunderbani.
First prize was shared by Simran Devi of GDC Katra and Rajan Sharma of GDC Sunderbani. Priya Sharma of GDC Sunderbani, Ayushi Gupta of Banasthali University of Rajastan, Paramjeet Kour of GDC Nowshera, Madhu Sharma of SVS College of Education Sunderbani and Priya of GDC Sunderbani shared 2nd prize whereas 3rd prize was bagged by Ashima Thakur of GDC, Reasi.
