SAMBA, Feb 25: A two-day Intra-District Volleyball Tournament was hosted at SPPND Government Degree College Samba, with Prof. (Dr.) Twinkle Suri, Principal of the College, gracing the event as chief guest. The tournament saw enthusiastic participation from teams of GDC Samba, GDC Vijaypur, GDC Ramgarh and GDC Ghagwal.
The final match featured a thrilling showdown between the semi-finalists GDC Samba and GDC Ramgarh, with GDC Samba emerging victorious with a 2-1 win. GDC Ramgarh secured second place, while GDC Vijaypur took the third position.
Prof. (Dr.) Twinkle Suri congratulated the winning team for their exceptional performance, praised all participants for their sportsmanship, and encouraged them to pursue excellence in both sports and academics. She emphasized the significance of sporting events in fostering social connections, life skills and physical well-being. The match was supervised by officials Abneet Sharma and Ashwani Kumar, while Associated Prof. Dr. Pankaj Bandhoria and Pradeep coordinated the event. A formal vote of thanks was presented by Associated Prof. Meenakshi Thakur.
