Inter-Collegiate Fencing (Women) Championship

JAMMU, Sept 6: Defending champion Government Degree College (GDC) Reasi retained the title trophy of the ongoing Inter-Collegiate Fencing (Women) Championship, being organized by the Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu at its Gymnasium Hall, here.
In Individual Epee Women, Gazal Suri (Jammu College of Physiotherapy) bagged gold, Rishika Spolia (GCW Parade) claimed silver, while the bronze medals went to Archana (GDC Reasi) and Akanksha Sabharwal (PG Department JU).
In Team Epee Women, GDC Reasi team of Diksha, Anuradha and Archana won gold; GDC Mishriwala Team of Reekha, Priyanka, Meena and Deeksha Manhas.
In Team Foil Women, GDC Reasi Team of Aanshika, Deepika, Sonia and Diksha Sharma won gold GDC Mishriwala Team of Jyoti, Diksha, Neeru and Neha bagged silver.
Prof Jasbir Singh, Dean Students Welfare University of Jammu was the chief guest of the valedictory function, who awarded medals and trophies to the winning players/teams.
The matches were officiated by Chotu Lal Sharma, Rachna Jamwal, Bhisham Singh Jamwal, Ujjwal Gupta, Ajay Kumar and Shreya Chib.
