JAMMU, Jan 30: Government Degree College (GDC) Poonch trounced GDC Doda by 10-wickets to advance in the ongoing Inter-Collegiate Cricket Tournament, being organised by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu at varsity grounds, here.
Earlier, batting first GDC Doda scored a modest total of 115 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Kuljinder was the top scorer with 30 runs while Fazal and Shahid contributed 10 runs each. For GDC Poonch, Arif took 2 wickets, while Owais and Ansar claimed 1 wicket each.
In reply, GDC Poonch scored the required runs easily in 14.2 overs, without losing any wicket, thus won the match by 10 wickets. Kartik scored magnificent 23 runs, while Owais Ahmed contributed 23 runs to the total.
