GDC Mendhar organizes seminar

MENDHAR, Oct 29: Aiming at assessing teaching quality of the students, the Department of Zoology, Government Degree College (GDC) Mendhar organized a seminar, here today.
The seminar was held under the supervision of Prof Sarshad Hussain of Department of Zoology. The topics of the seminar were Bee Keeping, Lac Culture, Digestive System of Pigeon, Birds Migration, Mendalian Laws of Inheritance and Cancer.
Feri Ryaz and Sonia Waqar of BSC Part-I claimed first and second place respectively, while Nahila Anjum of BSC Part-II bagged the third spot.
Principal, Prof Shabir Hussain Shah was the chief guest on the valedictory function who presented a cash prize of Rs 1000 each to the speakers on the occasion. Prof Azam, HoD Urdu and Azhar Manzoor Bhat, teaching assistant in Zoology were also present on the occasion.
The other students who participated in the seminar were Um-e Hani, Robina Kouser and Rajat Sharma.
