JAMMU, Jan 19: NSS Unit of the GDC Akhnoor celebrated National Youth Day today and organized Quiz competition on the leadership and personality of Swami Vivekananda.
Five teams of three students each participated in the event. The participants Sahil, Rajeet and Shubam of team-A secured 1st position.
Principal of the College, Prof Dr SP Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion.
While speaking on the occasion he insisted upon the students to follow the path of Swami Vivekananda in daily life which will help in making them better human beings.
Earlier, Prof Monika Malhotra presented welcome address to gathering.
The Programme was anchored by Prof Monika Malhotra, HoD, English and Prof MK Mussa HoD Hindi.
The whole programme was organized by NSS Unit of the College under the supervision of Prof Surinder Singh Parihar, while Prof Mussa presented vote of thanks.
Prominent among other dignitaries present on the occasion were Prof. Raj Kumar Gupta, Prof. Sushma and Prof DN Sharma.
