GD Goenka students shine at WELMUN

JAMMU, Aug 2: The delegation from G.D Goenka Public School, Jammu, governed by Om Prakash Bansal Charitable Trust made an impressive foray into the citadels of the WELMUN at the Welham Boys School, Dehradun.
The School contingent comprising of 11 students and an escorting teacher registered their presence in its maiden attempt as delegates of different committees and made their presence felt during the course of MUN proceedings.
The mega event witnessed an army of Titans clashing with the weapons of profound knowledge and word wizardry on a common platform, hailing from 26 renowned schools, like, The Doon School Dehradun, Ecole Globale, Pathways Aravali, Modern School Delhi, MGD Jaipur, Indian High School Dubai, Mayo Girls, Jodhamal Public School Jammu, G.D Goenka Jammu and many more.
The Doon School Dehradun emerged as the overall Champion and got the Best Delegation Trophy. Two Goenkans, namely, Amogh Bansal and Vanshaj Sharma (now a student of JMPS) got verbal mention in their respective committees.
Amogh Bansal was in the committee of United Nations Human Rights Commission and Vanshaj Sharma was in AIPPM and played the role of Smriti Zubin Irani. Madhur Mahajan escorted the delegates and ensured an extremely comfortable and cherishing experience for them. The GD Goenka delegation was comprised of Amogh Bansal, Arjun Gupta, Aryan Sharma, Jivitesh Syal, Malvika Kapoor, Nausheen Thusoo, Shivali Chauhan, Tawishi Malhotra, Shirin Gupta, Vandit Bhakari, and Vanshaj Sharma.
Principal Rajesh Rathore appreciated the efforts of all the delegates from GD Goenka Jammu for making commendable efforts.
