UDHAMPUR, Oct 28: Government College for Women (GCW), Udhampur organized Inaugural Ceremony of Rainshed/Parking Zone Area in the College Campus, here today.
The Ceremony was inaugurated by Balwant Singh Mankotia, MLA, Udhampur, while Dr Nutan K Resutra, Principal, GDC (Boys), Udhampur was the guest of honour.
A colourful cultural programme was organized by the students of the college.
Dr Youdhvir Singh, Principal, Govt College for Women, Udhampur presented welcome address.
The Career Counselling, Guidance and Placement Cell was also formally inaugurated during the function. Dr Ashok Kumar, Convener, CCG and PC highlighted the importance and various aspects including the achievements and future vision of the cell.
During the function, prizes were also given to the students who brought laurels to the college by participating in Jaano-Apne Desh Ko-Jashne-e-Virasat.
Simran and Sapna bagged Ist prize in food making competition; Romi, Sonika and Sheetal bagged Ist prize in Torran Making Competition; 2nd prize in dance was bagged by Nisha, Rupali, Deepika, Shivanjali, Meenakshi and Akanksha.
Earlier, in the function, Prof Nutan K Resutra gave away the Certificates to NSS volunteers Aditi Khajuria and Arti Thakur who successfully completed Pre-RD North Zone Camp at Chandigarh.
Sapna and Sakshi conducted the proceedings of the programme, while Dr Seema Rani Minhas presented vote of thanks.
