SRINAGAR, Nov 25: The Government College for Women (GCW), Srinagar emerged victorious in the third edition of the Inter College Women Volleyball Tournament by defeating the Govt. College for Physical Education, Ganderbal, in the final match here today.
The valedictory function of the Tournament took place at GCW, where Professor (Dr.) Ruhi Jan Kanth, Principal, GCW, Srinagar, served as the chief guest. Dr. Hartej Singh, Principal, Govt. College for Physical Education, Ganderbal, was the guest of honor for the event. Faheema Kaunsar from GCW, Srinagar, was honored as the best player of the tournament.
The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where trophies, medals, and certificates were distributed among the participants. Other dignitaries present at the occasion included the Sports Secretary of Cluster University Srinagar, heads of departments, and faculty members of the host college.
During the event, the Principal of the host college emphasized the significance of sports in shaping the character of students and encouraged their active participation in various sports activities.
