JAMMU, Sept 21: The players of GCW Parade Handball (Women) Team once again showed their supremacy and retained the title of Inter-Collegiate Handball (Women) Tournament
2017-18 by defeating combined side of PG Departments in the final match by (7-3) goals organized by the Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu held in the University Sports Stadium, here.
Earlier, GCW Parade took the lead by 2-0 early in the match but at the end the 1st half, PG Department also played well to equalize the margin.
In the 2nd half Richa Mandla and Shivani played extremely well to take the team of GCW Parade towards victory with final score reading ( 7-3 ) goals.
Shivali Kumari and Arushi Jamwal also played well from PG Department.
Prof Avtar Singh Jasrotia, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu was the chief guest, who presented the winner’s trophy to GCW Parade.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Dr Brij Baloria, Suman Sharma, Ramesh Magotra, .Raj Kumar Bakshi, Ravish Vaid and Vikas Karlopia.
The final match was officiated by the technical panel of experts including Gourav Sharma, Vinay Sharma, Priya Devi and Sanjeev Sharma.
